Description

Description (Service) Pre-operative assessment clinic for patients requiring elective (planned) surgery.
  • Provides information about what to expect during hospitalization.
  • Ensure all tests have been completed (e.g. bloodwork, x-rays) and all appropriate paperwork is completed.
  • Anesthesiologist will ensure any potential health problems have been identified at this time.
  • Patients who do not have a problematic health history and do not require medical testing are contacted by phone and do not need to visit the clinic before their operation.
