Description (Service)

Transition Support Workers provide support, information, emergency accommodations and resource materials to help women live free from violence and abuse.

  • All support services are free, confidential, and women-centred
  • Services are available by appointment during office hours
  • Programs offer support to women and their children who are living in, or wondering about leaving an abusive relationship; information about housing and income supports, assistance navigating the Family Court system, and Haliburton Emergency Rural SafeSpace (HERS)
  • Clinical Counselling is available to women in Haliburton County who have experienced abuse in their childhood and in adult relationships
