Description
Description (Service) | The Family Supports program helps the families of children and young people who live with a intellectual disability. Family Support Coordinators assist families with service coordination and planning to ensure that each child, up to the age of 18 years, receives the support needed to participate in the life of their family, school and community. During the years from 14 to 18 specific focus is given to the transitions from childhood to adolescence, and adolescence to adulthood. Services include:
Also provides the Families are Strong private Facebook support group for parents and caregivers of people living with a developmental disability.
